RwandAir transports peace keeping troops back home from Darfur

RwandAir today transported over 400 Rwandan soldiers on the United Nations peace keeping Mission to Darfur. This was after an agreement was signed between RwandAir and the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission New York to transport the Rwandan troops to and from Darfur, starting July 27 2010 and ending September 25 2010.

 
Continental Airlines Announces New Daily Service From Houston to Lagos

Continental Airlines announced plans to launch new daily nonstop flights between Houston and Lagos, Nigeria, beginning Nov. 10, 2011, subject to government approval. It will be the first daily scheduled service offered between Texas and Africa by any carrier.

Arik Air has scored another first by becoming the first Nigerian airline to be re-certified by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The regulatory body announced on Monday, July 12, 2010 that the airline had met the Federal Government’s requirement of the new Civil Aviation Regulations.
