African Airlines Investments Acquires Five Bae 146s from BAE Systems for Pan-African Operations

Two of the aircraft are BAe 146-200s with the remaining aircraft being the bigger Series 300. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered by mid-July. These five aircraft are additional to two other BAe 146-200s that are currently operated by the company for customers in Gabon and other African countries. The company also presently operates smaller turboprop aircraft on behalf of additional customers in Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia.

 
Gulf Air celebrates inaugural flight to Alexandria

Gulf Air announced the launch of regular services to three new destinations: the Holy City of Medina in Saudi Arabia, Alexandria in Egypt and Aleppo in Syria. From this month, these cities will become permanent additions to its network. While in the past the airline has operated flights to Alexandria and Aleppo as part of its summer schedule, the airline has never flown to Medina before.
