LAM Moçambique to Add Third Weekly Flight to Luanda
Tuesday, 06 July 2010 06:24

Because of the significant growth on the Maputo-Luanda-Maputo route since it was launched in November 2009, a third weekly flight will be added as from October this year.

african aviation newsThe new flight will be on Wednesdays. This will allow passengers more choices in their travel between the two countries, so as to make the most of the existing business and tourism opportunities.

In the first 5 months of this year, the volume of business on the route grew by 12 per cent more than planned. The overall number of passengers also grew by 7% more than planned.

Currently there are two flights a week between Maputo and Luanda, on Mondays and on Fridays. Both use an Embraer 190 aircraft, which can carry 93 passengers.

With this third flight, LAM is continuing to create more solutions for the travel of its passengers, as well as ensuring speedy and efficient links between the two countries
