Astral Aviation operates scheduled services from its Nairobi hub to six scheduled destinations and forty five charter destinations in its intra-African network. African Aviation recently talked with Mr. Gadhia, who explained the challenges he faces in the short and long term and the highs and lows of operating within the ever demanding African Continent.

Mr. Gérard Ethève is Air Austral's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Air Austral, the "French Airline of the Indian Ocean", has more than 30 years experience linking the French island of Réunion with its neighbours Mayotte, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa and France. In April 2009, Air Austral commenced services to Sydney, offering a twice weekly service between Sydney and Réunion.

Solomon David is the General Director of Sahara Air Cargo, the only cargo airline registered in Tanzania offering scheduled air freight service to its network spread in Horn of Africa, East Africa, Great Lakes, Central Africa, Middle East and Europe from its hub in Dar Es Salaam and Dubai Airports.

Gil Evora is the General Director of Halcyonair, an airline based at Sal, Cape Verde. It was established in April 2005 and operates domestic flights between the Cape Verde Islands from its main base in Amilcar Cabral International Airport. African Aviation recently talked with Mr. Evora, who explained the challenges he faces in the short and long term.

Arjun Ruzaik is the Chief Executive Officer of OneJetOne, Kenya’s first domestic, regional and international low cost/budget airline set to launch in 2010. The fleet will consist of Airbus A320 and A330, flying to and from our Nairobi hub, to all major cities in Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia.
